It's a challenge for the Australian squad to achieve unprecedented feats.

The top summits have been successfully scaled.

We're talking about the team that has claimed seven Cricket World Cups, along with another six T20 titles, and once went over three years undefeated in 50-over cricket.

The secondary achievements, the ones sought by the achievement hunters, are what's still available for a squad that has achieved everything.

The fact it required as late as Sunday's victory by three wickets over India for them to complete their first ODI chase above 300, taking back their record for the highest in women's cricket's 50-over format, is, honestly, a testament to the pitchers that have worn canary yellow over five decades.

It is hard for their batters to hold a record if not afforded the chance.

Ultimately, the outcome of Australia allowing 330 runs was skipper Alyssa Healy getting a chance to produce her latest masterpiece.

Then best known as the 19-year-old niece of famous ex Aussie wicketkeeper Ian, she made her debut in 2010 after Australia couldn't capture either of the 20 or 50-over World Cups from the prior year and has experienced everything through 15 successful years since.

A T20 championship victory happened three months after her debut and seven world titles have come from 10 attempts across formats.

The determined wicketkeeper was also there in Derby in 2017 when a last-four loss by India temporarily stopped the run of success.

That loss "drove us to reconsider our benchmarks," Healy commented earlier.

At the following one-day championship in New Zealand, Healy hit 170 against England in the title decider and was named player of the tournament. She made sure her country would not fail again.

If this newest brilliant performance topped that previous effort can be debated.

Many contend the reasoning behind championship match pressure. Some might respond with the difficulty that comes when facing a record target and a raucous India-supporting crowd of 20,000.

What's clear is this ton was far harder to anticipate.

The New Zealand onslaught in 2022 came as she led the batting statistics, but this knock was preceded by six games in India over the past few weeks in which she had been unable to reach 30.

"For those following me in the nets, it has been a frustrating experience because it appeared I've had no rhythm completely," commented Healy.

"Yet the moment you take the field, your fighting spirit activate and you completely engage with the match."

Healy's fighting spirit has continuously been her key asset - and an irreplaceable characteristic in succeeding iconic ex-skipper Meg Lanning.

She was challenged by India's emerging talent Kranti Gaud in the previous month's ODI series, dismissed by the young fast bowler in every game, but this time it merely gave Healy's inspiration.

A single was taken off Gaud's first delivery and from that point the batsman was on her way.

"An opportunity to play and lock in a contest with her and merely enjoy the moment that way, sort of got me going," commented Healy.

She reached fifty in 35 deliveries - her swiftest at the World Cup - and her century in 84 balls as she punished short deliveries, striking 21 boundaries and three sixes.

By the time she was removed the team required another 66 at run per delivery - an unconquered height now needing a comfortable finish.

"To chase 330 is new territory so I'm pleased we have the confidence to accomplish that now," added Healy.

"Hopefully we don't have to do it another time but, should it happen, we are confident we can achieve it."

These statements will be the last Australia's opponents at this championship want to hear.

Over the past five days a feeling they will win from any position has only strengthened - this triumph following success over Pakistan by 107 runs despite struggling at 76-7 at one stage.

Following this Australia face Bangladesh before a match against longtime competitors England in Indore in 10 days, by which point a semi-final place may probably be guaranteed.

It was in the semi-finals they left the previous year's T20 World Cup in a surprising setback by South Africa - a game Healy was absent due to torn tissue in her foot as she captained her nation for the initial instance at a major tournament.

Such is her determination, she later said she wanted to have participated with the discomfort.

However although she later admitted those fitness problems have delayed consideration of ending her career, this tournament is likely to be her final tournament as skipper in one-day cricket and she is hasn't yet secured a global event as leader.

Victory in India would take her to the summit of her final mountain.
