Hazbin Hotel's Showrunner Is Aware of Your Second Season Predictions — And She Has Positive Updates

The much-anticipated Season 2 of the musical adult cartoon Hazbin Hotel arrives on the streaming platform soon, and fan speculation has been intense.

Season 1 introduces a diverse group of personalities residing in Hell and Heaven, pits them against each other with songs about their clashes, and builds heated competitions and emotional bonds that fuel audience devotion.

The fandom's stated hopes for the new season differ greatly, but certain themes emerge over and over: Could Angel Dust break free from Valentino? Will we find out more about the mysterious "deal" constraining the enigmatic Alastor? Might certain characters' relationships evolve?

"Obviously, I don't produce the show with fan service specifically in mind," the creator commented recently. "However I feel like me being a fan of my own show means there's a lot of it just inherently. I also am eager for these things, and I want some of these things to occur, and obviously some of these things are meant to happen in the show!"

She says her big-picture plan is for a five-season run of Hazbin Hotel. Seasons 3 and 4 have received approval by the production companies, which finance the series.

That might mean fans have to be patient for some of the biggest payoffs — but they could be shocked at how fast the new season progresses, and how much of what they're waiting for unfolds now.

"I feel like people are going to get a lot out of it," she adds. "We get some firsts. I think we get some incredible disclosures, some really cool backstories, and even basic elements, [like] I hope this character gets a song. […] Audiences will experience much more singing from the characters we didn't get to hear before."

She's certainly aware of the theories and desires about season 2 — particularly in the form of fan bingo cards.

"I've come across a few fans make a bingo card about season 2," she mentions. "Naturally I can't post it, but I've already completed some of them, and nearly every one of them have almost a bingo. I thought, Oh, if you put this [event] in this spot, it would be a bingo. So that leads me to believe we accomplish much [of what fans are waiting for in this season], because I was like, Oh, there's multiple potential bingos on this card. So that brings me joy."

Hazbin Hotel the second season launches on Prime Video on Oct. 29.
